This is a user experience and operations transformation for the MIXT Salad brand integrating a 360degree update starting from instore experience, followed by community participation strategy, a closed-loop delivery system to eliminate waste and foster environmental transparency.

Challenge
The project addresses a dual crisis: the massive environmental footprint of the global food industry and the operational disconnect between sustainable brands and their customers. The food industry is responsible for 37% of man-made greenhouse gas emissions and is a major contributor to non-biodegradable packaging waste, much of which ends up in landfills. Mixt, a purpose driven, B corp. trying to contribute to solve these problems, struggles with consumer engagement because there is a significant lack of knowledge sharing regarding the specific sources and labor practices behind ingredients.

Solution
MIXT opportunities are a set of recommendations for the brand to replace a traditional fast-food model with an immersive, purpose-driven framework that prioritises transparency, waste prevention, community building and long-term environmental health. The opportunities range from a holistic digital and physical transformation to an emrsive instore experience. The engagement is further extended through varied activities and events to invite consumers to explore the Brand's ethos. The opportunities include:
RE-MIXT Delivery System: A circular, closed-loop lending program for reusable bamboo fiber bowls. Customers can rent a bowl via a QR code, earn reward points for returning it and participate in a system that aims to eliminate single-use packaging waste.
Enhanced Ordering Experience: The introduction of Self-Order Kiosks and "MIXT signals" allows users to avoid social pressure and see a real-time "Salad Score" that tracks the nutritional and seasonal value of their meal.
The "Bowl of Fame": A gamified loyalty program that recognizes regular customers who make sustainable choices, eventually engraving their names on celebrity bowls displayed in-store to build community pride.
MIXERS Community Hub: A calendar of educational workshops—including composting, urban gardening, and dietitian-led talks—designed to transform the restaurant from a transactional space into a center for environmental advocacy.
Hyper-Local Sourcing: The implementation of hydroponic "MIXT Gardens" within the restaurant to provide fresh, energy-efficient produce and clearly mapped "farm-to-table" systems.
The project moves MIXT from a standard fast-food model toward a community powered circular system, where every meal contributes to reducing the brand's carbon footprint while empowering the consumer with knowledge and sustainable habits.
